David H Song, MD, FACC

After a childhood in Korea, Dr. Song spent his teenage years in Morristown, NJ and Charlotte, NC. He subsequently graduated with Honors from UNC-Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, NC with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry. There he was also inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. He remained for medical school at UNC -Chapel Hill School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. For his fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases, he trained at Rhode Island Hospital, Brown University Program. He has settled in Atlanta as the co-founder of Atlanta Heart Specialists.

Dr. Song holds board certifications in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Nuclear Cardiology.

During his career, he has served as an officer in the Korean Medical Association of Georgia, serving the community with medical information and education. In addition, he has been involved as a board member of the Korean American Scholarship Foundation, providing students with educational scholarships. Dr. Song has been featured many times as a guest speaker on local radio and TV stations (AM 1310 and KTN-TV).

His hospital affiliations include Dekalb Medical Center and Emory Johns Creek Hospital. Dr. Song performs cardiac catheterization, diagnostic peripheral arteriography, echocardiography and nuclear stress test interpretation and consultation.

His clinical interests include Diagnostic Imaging, Evidence Based Medicine, and Biomedical Ethics.

He personally enjoys playing basketball and tennis, playing the guitar, and being involved with church activities.
